We only get to go around the track once. 

It’s the first time for everybody. 

And contrary to what it appears, no one knows exactly how to do it all. 

So, some are going to make us frustrated. Maybe mad. Disappointed.

Best friends isn’t the expectation. At all. 

But let’s try real hard to at least be kind. 

And be givers. Of doubt’s benefit.

And members of the resistance. Of the urge to get even.

Odd? Yes. But the different often lead. The scared courageous guiding the inspired invisible.

Will we get burned? Maybe sometimes.

Will some think we’re naive? Perhaps.But we’ve got the remote.

Let’s keep it. 

And keep forging a path. Simple, Humble. Gracious.

It may not get the headlines, but we’ll enjoy the lap more. And have company.

And together’s pretty cool.
