It takes faith to believe any of ’em.
If you feel invisible:
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
My frame was not hidden from you…
Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. – Psalm 139:13, 15-16
God sees. Us.
If you can’t figure out what’s going on:
… I go forward, but he is not there, and backward, but I do not perceive him;
on the left hand when he is working, I do not behold him; he turns to the right hand, but I do not see him.
But he knows the way that I take; when he has tried me, I shall come out as gold. – Job 23:8-10
God knows. Us.
If you feel alone:
… neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,
nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 8:38-39
God loves. Us.
Let’s face it. Faith is hard sometimes.
And it requires risk.
So here’s the homework:
Today, out loud, read the red.
Tomorrow, repeat.
If we risk that what we can’t see may be true, we just might experience that it is.
